Clinical Administrators:

COLLEEN YANG, B.S., CCMA

Practice Manager

Colleen Yang achieved her bachelor’s degree in Public Health Science from the University of California, Irvine before getting certified as a medical assistant. She did an internship at UCI Medical Center shadowing doctors and making sure patients were satisfied with their care.


As an aspiring PA, she hopes to make a difference in the healthcare profession. Something she enjoys doing on the side is being a swim coach for John Marshall high school, where she was once a swimmer on the team. A fun fact about her is that she has been to 15 different countries and plans to go to more. She also loves to cook and try new foods and restaurants around L.A.

CLAUDIA SANCHEZ, CCMA

Administrative Coordinator

Claudia Sanchez spent time volunteering and interning in various clinics, working with both children and adult populations, before becoming a certified medical assistant. Her choice to work in the medical field was influenced by her positive experiences within different healthcare settings, as well as a desire to help with medical issues affecting members of her own family. She feels mental health to be her true calling, and loves the daily interactions she is able to have with patients as a medical assistant and TMS technician at PTC. 


Claudia is a proud Los Angeles native, and in her free time enjoys baking sweets, horseback riding, and taking trips to visit friends and family in Baja California.

KEN MURAKAMI, B.A.

TMS Coordinator

Ken Murakami graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in Cognitive Science and Human Biology. 


During his undergraduate career, Ken worked as a program coordinator through the campus LGBTQ+ center to support various health initiatives and crisis intervention. He also worked as a community health researcher where he conducted qualitative studies regarding the effectiveness of public health messaging and community specific health needs/barriers in underserved populations. 


Ken is passionate about inclusive healthcare initiatives and is excited to utilize his background to ensure that patients' individual needs are satisfied. 


As for hobbies, Ken enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, and singing. His ideal day consists of a banh mi or bento fueled hike followed by a carpool-karaoke session with friends.

Kyra Kauffman, B.A.

Medical/Administrative Assistant

Kyra Kauffman received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with a focus in both an LPC and an LMFT license.


Kyra spent her undergraduate years volunteering in classrooms, as well as working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Kyra is extremely passionate about the field of psychology and helping others. She believes the best way to overcome obstacles is with empathy and dedication. Kyra loves being able to make a difference in the lives of others, and enjoys being part of clinical care for patients at PTC.


In her free time, Kyra loves to hike and spend time at the beach surfing. She enjoys baking and cooking food from other cultures. Kyra’s dream is to travel the world and learn from the experiences of others.

ARIANNE SADEN, PMHNP-BC

Arianne Saden is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner currently residing in the Greater Los Angeles area.


She obtained her BSN from Texas Woman’s University and her Master’s Degree from Walden University. Her background includes adult psychiatry for anxiety, depression, and ADHD.


Her clinical career took a journey from inpatient critical care to outpatient recovery. Her client-centered approach to care creates a safe, non-judgmental environment for a supportive and collaborative experience. She knows everyone has different needs and believes that kindness is rooted in empathy and acceptance.


She looks forward to working with each client and helping them make positive changes to maintain healthier and more meaningful lives.

DIANA PEÑA, PMHNP-BC

Diana Pena is a skilled bi-lingual (English and Spanish) board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner residing in the Greater Los Angeles area.


She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she received extensive training in providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages with a wide range of mental health conditions.


She has a passion for serving diverse and specialized patient populations, including those living with HIV and hospice. She is also a proud mother of three and understands the unique challenges and stresses that come with parenthood.


With her expertise and compassion, Diana is dedicated to helping patients achieve their mental health goals and improve their overall quality of life.

KYWINA 'LOLLY' HENDERSON, PMHNP-BC

Kywina Henderson is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner currently residing in the Greater Los Angeles area.


She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner, both from the University of Phoenix. She also holds a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Azusa Pacific University and is board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is actively working on completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice and Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness strategies.


She has extensive clinical nursing leadership background managing multiple units in the acute care hospital setting to include critical care, emergency medicine, and behavioral health. She also serves as an adjunct nursing professor at Azusa Pacific University.

She is known for her excellent communication skills, a very good listener and always does her best to come from a practical and informed standpoint while educating her patients. She cares deeply about her patients, and her mission is to treat each individual with respect, dignity, and compassion.


In 2022, Kywina was voted as one of Today's Nurses top Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in California and remains an active member of the California Nurse Practitioners Association, the American Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. On her free time, she enjoys swimming, gardening and spending time with her family and dog Lakota.

COURTNEY TA, PA-C

Courtney Ta, MMS, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant currently residing in the Greater Los Angeles area.


She completed her undergraduate studies at University of California Irvine in biological sciences. Thereafter, Courtney completed her Master’s of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Chapman University in Irvine, CA. Courtney’s clinical experience includes treating patients suffering from myriad mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and ADHD.


She offers a patient-centered approach in treating the health and wellbeing of each individual. She believes in providing high quality care with a commitment in treating patients with kindness, respect and compassion.

DEVIN DOHERTY, PA-C

Devin Doherty, PA-C, achieved a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Emory University before completing a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).


While In PA school, Devin participated in the U.S. Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) for the Veterans Health Administration. From 2018 – present, he has practiced psychiatry in multiple settings, including outpatient offices, inpatient psychiatric units, and the emergency room.

TROY MATTHEWS, PA-C

Troy Matthews is a board-certified physician assistant currently residing in the Greater Los Angeles area.


He was born in Boston, MA and moved to the NY tristate area as a young child. He enlisted in the US Army in 1983 from Newark, NJ. He has had multiple stateside and foreign assignments in the military. He was eventually transferred to Southern California in 2014. He has over 28 years of military service.

He graduated in 1999 from the University of Washington Medex NW PA program in Seattle WA, and he has a Masters in Health Science from Touro University. He has previously worked in multiple clinical settings, including working as a hospitalist in underserved communities, as well as correctional medicine where he treated numerous substance abuse and mental health patients. He has over 20 years of clinical experience working in the mental health space.



He has been married for 30 years and has three adult children. He enjoys physical fitness, reading non-fiction books, and is a music enthusiast.

KIRA MESMAN-HALLMAN, PA-C

Kira Mesman-Hallman is a physician assistant with psychiatric experience currently residing in the Greater Los Angeles area. She is not accepting new patients at this time.


She was born and raised in San Diego CA and she earned her Bachelor's degree from Claremont McKenna College. She completed her medical training at Midwestern University, where she cultivated a deep passion for holistic mental health care. She began her career in Boston MA, where she was a consulting psychiatric provider at multiple skilled nursing and long-term care facilities throughout Boston and the MetroWest region.

During the earliest waves of the COVID-19 pandemic she embraced the challenge of providing mental health services to SNF residents in lockdown. She was recognized for her knowledge, dedication and empathy by her patients and colleagues alike, ultimately receiving the 2021 Dr. Van Gordon Mission Award to honor her as one of the top providers company-wide. After returning to California, she is very pleased to offer compassionate patient-centered psychiatric care to residents in San Luis Obispo and surrounding areas.


Kira lives in Alhambra CA with her husband and their Boston Terrier named Bowie. On weekends you'll find her in a ballet studio, an art museum or jogging through the neighborhood.

JOSS WILLIAMS, LCSW

Joss Williams, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker currently residing in the Greater Los Angeles area.


He received both his B.A. and Masters in Social Work from New York University (NYU). He worked in psychiatry for 10 years at UCLA Medical Center. Joss has 18 years of experience doing clinical work with a variety of clients.


Joss uses his relaxed, authentic and nonjudgmental approach to form meaningful relationships with his clients. He aims for his clients to identify how they may be pushing people away rather than attracting them how these behaviors are related to past experiences. The goal is to develop new ideas and thinking patterns about relationships and use the therapeutic relationship as a model to create healthier, longer-lasting relationships.

DEBORAH MISSAGHI, LMFT

Deborah 'Debbie' Missaghi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who is passionate about creating a safe holding space for open and genuine communication. She uses an integrative approach that draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family systems theories. She enjoys collaborating with her clients to help them identify healthier coping skills and more flexible ways of thinking about themselves and their circumstances.


Deborah has had various experiences, including a traineeship at a non-profit organization serving adults, adolescents, and children who have endured sexual and physical trauma. She has worked within various settings, including a Department of Mental Health (DMH)-contracted agency for almost five years where she provided counseling and case management services to individual adults experiencing a wide range of chronic mental health conditions.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and her Masters of Science in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).


During her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

LINDSEY LAW, MD

Dr. Lindsey Law is a board-certified psychiatrist, and she completed her psychiatry residency at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior in Los Angeles, California. During her final year of training, she served as the Chief Resident for inpatient psychiatric hospital services. 


By using scientific evidence-based treatments combined with a holistic approach that takes into account each individual’s personal journey, Dr. Law helps adults living with a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and substance use disorders. 


Mental health treatment can be a stressful experience for patients and their families, and Dr. Law is dedicated to guiding each individual through this process to help them achieve their unique mental health goals.

GIL HOFTMAN, MD, PHD

Gil Hoftman is a double board-certified psychiatrist, in both general adult and child & adolescent psychiatry, who resides in the Greater Los Angeles Area. He currently serves as a supervising physician for PTC. He is not accepting new patients at this time.


Dr. Hoftman graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience with highest honors. During his undergraduate years while volunteering with the Mobile Clinic Project, he repeatedly saw vulnerability and discrimination against homeless individuals experiencing psychiatric distress. He also volunteered with the Child Life program at Mattel Children's working with children and families, which shaped his interest in child development and resilience to illness. He earned his MD and PhD from the University of Pittsburgh/Carnegie Mellon University with a dissertation on brain development and schizophrenia.

While in medical school, Dr. Hoftman was drawn to clinical psychiatry because he could provide compassionate and comprehensive integrated health care without minimizing the importance of mental health. He completed residency and fellowship training at Western Psychiatric Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he was the chief resident of the research track and was selected to the outstanding resident award program at the National Institute of Mental Health, and subsequently received training at UCLA.


When he is not working, Dr. Hoftman enjoys spending time with his family, visiting the ocean, playing soccer, and playing guitar.
