Clinical Administrators:

KELLY SANDOVAL, B.A.

Referral Coordinator

Kelly Sandoval received their Bachelor of Arts from the University of Redlands, with an emphasis in Communal Resilience, Human Rights, and Art/Design from the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies.


Kelly Sandoval spent their undergraduate years working with at-risk youth in a myriad of settings from juvenile detention centers to orphanages abroad. They have devoted the past six years of their life to building community, healing arts, and activism, and now brings this unique perspective to PTC as their referral coordinator.


In their free time, Kelly loves to collage, write, and crochet. It is their belief that creative work is a tool in navigating our world, specifically by forging an increased sense of connection within oneself and towards others.

BRITNEY RICE, LPN

Community Outreach Coordinator

Britney Rice is a licensed practical nurse who resides in Southeast Georgia. She began her nursing studies at Waycross College and then graduated from Altamaha Technical College in 2011. 


Britney worked at her local hospital for seven years as an LPN, and subsequently obtained extensive experience within outpatient pain management. More recently, she developed an interest within mental health and serves part-time as PTC Georgia's community outreach coordinator.


In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, who keeps her family busy with martial arts tournaments.

JESSICA CLARK, PMHNP-BC

Jessica Clark, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC Jessica Clark is a psychiatric nurse practitioner currently residing in southeast Georgia.


She began her training at Georgia Southern University earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing from South University and received a Post Master’s certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Valdosta State University.

 

For the last eleven years, she has cared for adolescent and adult patients in a variety of settings including outpatient practice and inpatient hospitalization. She has extensive experience in creating individualized care that is founded on interprofessional collaboration, patient involvement and evidenced-based practice.

MITZI TYRE, PMHNP-BC

Mitzi Tyre was born and raised in South Georgia. She attended Valdosta State and Georgia Southern University, having received a bachelor and masters degree in nursing, and subsequently achieving certification through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. 


Mitzi has worked locally in the specialty of mental health and substance abuse in both inpatient and outpatient settings for the past thirteen years. She is well-versed in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, bipolar disorder, addiction as well as other mental health related disorders. 


Since 2015, she has worked part-time for a non-profit agency providing services to victims of physical and sexual abuse, as well as domestic violence. This background has significantly helped equip Mitzi for serving and treating clients with prior traumas, and has highlighted the importance of understanding her client's backgrounds in order to provide them with personalized mental healthcare.

STEVEN NORMAN, LPC

Steven Norman graduated from Troy University as a clinical therapist, and currently is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) for PTC Georgia.


With over 40 years of experience as a counselor, Steve has had the privilege of treating clients from all walks of life with various treatment needs. He believes the key to wellness is addressing the intersection of emotional, physical, and spiritual factors at hand, as he finds this approach useful in healing both the mind and body. 


During his career, Steve has worked closely with veterans, their families, and survivors of abuse. His calming presence and approachability are vital in creating a safe space during therapy sessions, and he strives to focus on personalized treatment for each individual during their recovery. 


When he is not working Steve enjoys fishing, going to the beach, and watching any sport (both college and professional).
